ToneMixer is developed by NerdiCorgi Entertainment. This Privacy Policy explains what information ToneMixer accesses, how that information is used, and what choices you have.
What ToneMixer Does
ToneMixer lets you place MP3 files in a shared device folder, assign weights to those files, and automatically rotate your phone’s default ringtone after calls.
Permissions ToneMixer Uses
- READ_PHONE_STATE to detect when a phone call has ended so the app can prepare the next default ringtone.
- READ_MEDIA_AUDIO on Android 13 and newer, or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on Android 12, to read the MP3 files you place in the ToneMixer folder.
- WRITE_SETTINGS to update your device’s default ringtone after a call.
Information ToneMixer Accesses
- The app reads the names and metadata of MP3 files located in the ToneMixer folder you use for ringtone rotation.
- The app observes phone state changes only to know when a call cycle has returned to idle.
- The app stores ringtone weights, the most recently applied ringtone name, and optional tip-jar status on your device.
How Information Is Used
- To list your ringtone candidates and apply weighted random selection.
- To update only the device’s default ringtone, without changing contact-specific ringtones.
- To remember your ringtone weights and optional tip-jar thank-you status between app launches.
What ToneMixer Does Not Do
- ToneMixer does not sell your personal data.
- ToneMixer does not upload your ringtone files to NerdiCorgi Entertainment.
- ToneMixer does not create a user account or require you to sign in.
Payments
If you choose to use the optional tip-jar purchase, the transaction is processed by Google Play. Purchase processing and payment details are handled under Google’s own policies and systems.
Data Storage and Retention
ToneMixer keeps its settings locally on your device. Your ringtone files remain wherever you placed them on your device unless you move or delete them yourself.
Your Choices
You can deny permissions, remove ringtone files, clear app data, or uninstall the app at any time. If required permissions are denied, parts of ToneMixer may not function.
